“TOTAL EXCELLENCE”
Schwab School is dedicated to producing total quality products. It is committed to developing excellence in each of its students by creating a
totally positive school environment. Its professional staff takes responsibility for the delivery of sound, appropriate, curricula and extra-
curricular opportunities using the team concept. It creates and maintains constancy of purpose for the improvement of students and the staff.
The school recognizes the uniqueness of each individual affiliated with it. It celebrates and benefits from people differences. Race, sex and
ethnic harmony is promoted in all areas of the school.
An educational philosophy of providing each individual student with the opportunity to develop intellectually and socially to his/her maximum
potential through effective methods of teaching is endorsed by parents, teachers and students. Barriers that impede this mission are eliminated.
All staff members are well versed in the special needs of the school child and are directly involved in providing for those needs. They believe
that all students can learn.
The school places its priorities in offering sound, basic educational opportunities for the development of each student. The opportunities include,
but are not limited to, the areas of reading, writing, and thinking skills, problem-solving, mathematics, as well as computation, science, social
studies, second languages, aesthetics, physical education and basic concepts of government. These education concepts are experienced by students
consistently across curricula areas.
Social skills development is also part of the total educational program. Activities are designed to develop wholesome attitudes and habits as well
as provide students the opportunity to experience self-satisfaction through hard work, participation, and accomplishment.
The school recognizes that the image projected by all involved within the education process is extremely important in relation to student-
achievement and accomplishment. The school believes that all participants should exemplify basic values such as honesty and integrity by setting
good examples of behavior and enforcing the rules, which reinforces high standards.
Staff is involved in learning and growing professionally and takes advantage of local and away-from-school staff development activities. They are
made aware of current concepts, methods and processes in education.
The school also recognizes the need for discipline. A code of discipline that is preventive in nature, impartial and consistent is essential to the
learning environment. Consequences of failure to adhere to the code will be understood by students, parents and faculty. The positive aspects of
self-discipline shall be emphasized.
Through operating in accordance with this philosophy and putting the highest priority on total academic achievement, Schwab School dedicates itself
to remaining a leader of TOTAL EXCELLENCE in the State of Ohio.
